The Pineau & Le Porcher industrial design studio was founded in Paris in 1989, by two young designers and graduates of the ENSAAMA art school. This team quickly started designing for famous brands such as Deutsche Grammophon, Abbott, Toys’R’us and Bentley Motors. Its activity at first focussed on the children’s sector, with the creation of hundreds of toys, care products, dishes, educational equipment, furniture… This represented a steep learning curve since design for children requires a very good command of complex constraints such as safety standards, ergonomics and obvious systems. Indeed, creating for children helped to retain and develop the essence of play and desire, and thus intensify a design’s emotional appeal. The Pineau & Le Porcher studio has been able to transpose this expertise of children’s products to brands making speakers, luxury cars or perfumes; an adult’s desire to own these objects must be as strong as that of child dreaming of a toy. This analytical skill has enabled the company to work on mass marketing studies with a wide audience as well as exclusive sectors with high added value. With 20 years of experience, the now recognised Pineau & Le Porcher studio has become a laboratory of ideas and strategies that accompanies its customers with a true brand vision. The team, now led by Alain Pineau, is made up of very high-level designers from different backgrounds. It works throughout the world and for sectors as varied as fashion, sport, television, luxury, cars and, of course, children’s products.
